What hair services do you offer?
Amaraa offers an extensive range of services from; hair colouring, foils, balayage, colour correction, blowdry services, hair styling, event and bridal hair, keratin smoothing treatments and hand tied weft hair extensions.
What products do you use?
Amaraa Salon is an exclusive stockist for Ăšnica Collection Hair Extensions, as well as Mr Smith hair products.
Can you provide quotes via email or phone?
Please note that we are only able to provide estimated pricing over the phone or via email. Our pricing structure is tailored to your specific hair length, thickness, and the specific services required to achieve your desired look. Extension quoting can only be done during consultations. We do not offer extension pricing prior to consultations.
Do I need to book a consultation prior to a service?
Colours & Styling: No – all new clients are not required to book consultations prior to their colour or styling service bookings.
Extensions: Yes – we do require consultations for all new extension clients. Consultations appointments are $50 and take 30-45mins.
How much notice do I need to provide to make a booking?
For appointments that involve longer services like colouring or extensions, we kindly request that you provide us with a minimum of 4-6 weeks’ notice for your booking request.
In case you require a last-minute appointment, we encourage you to contact us via our website to inquire about availability and any cancellations. Alternatively, you can opt to be added to our online waitlist.
Does my booking require a deposit?
To ensure the acceptance of your service booking, all client bookings require 50% upfront payment.
We offer multiple deposit payment options for your convenience, including credit/debit card payment over the phone, online booking system payment, or bank transfer.
How do I make a booking online?
We have a convenient online booking system so you can make your consultation or appointment booking instantly. Please note that all new extension clients are required to book a consultation prior to booking any service appointments.
What reminders will I receive?
Amaraa Hair will keep you updated about your appointment with the following reminders and confirmation messages:
- One Week Before Your Appointment: You will receive an email with your booking details and our cancellation policy. To cancel or reschedule, simply reply to this email.
- 72 Hours Before Your Appointment: A SMS confirmation will be sent to you. Please reply with “Y” to confirm your appointment. For further details, refer to our policies.
- Last-Minute Appointments (Within 72 Hours): You will receive a text message confirmation. Please note that all last-minute appointments are automatically confirmed, and our policies still apply.
Do I need to confirm my booking?
If we don’t hear back from you after the confirmation text is sent, we will make an attempt to call or message you.
However, if we still do not receive a response, your appointment may be cancelled.
Can I bring a photo of what I want?
Absolutely! We encourage you to bring inspo pics of the look you are wanting to achieve. Whether you have spotted something on Pinterest, Instagram or TikTok, feel free to show us during your consultation so we can get a feel for your preferences.
What is a Keratin Smoothing Treatment?

What type of Hair Extensions do you offer?
Amaraa Hair specialises in hand-tied weft Hair Extensions. These are micro flat and flexible wefts suitable for all hair including ultra-fine hair. They are applied using our custom application method, which provides complete comfort, invisibility and zero scalp damage. Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes, we sell gift vouchers in the salon. Please contact us for further details.
Where is the best place to park?
Mount Hawthorn has free street parking. If your appointment is lengthy, we recommend you park at the Mezz underground parking complex. Alternatively, there is ample 1 – 3 hrs street parking.
What is your cancellation policy?
Amaraa Cancellation Policy
Changes and Cancellations: Cancellations or modifications within 48-hours of your scheduled appointment will incur cancellation charges.
48-Hour Notice: Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the total cost of the booked service.
24-Hour Notice and No-Show Policy: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment time, including no-shows, will incur a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the total cost of the booked service.
You agree to pay the applicable cancellation charge in full within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time. You authorise Amaraa Hair (Timelypay) to debit your credit card if you have not paid the applicable cancellation fee within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time.
Card Authorisation
By providing your credit card details, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of our cancellation policy. You authorise Amaraa Hair, (Timelypay) to process and charge your card in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined below.
If your card details are not stored, you agree to receive a payment link via email. You commit to paying the applicable cancellation fee within 24 hours of receipt.
How early should I arrive for my appointment?
Please arrive 10min early to allow us to make you comfortable and get you a drink.
What happens when I am late for my appointment?
To ensure we provide the highest quality of service, we ask that you arrive on time for your appointment.
Late Arrivals: Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late will result in immediate appointment cancellation and will be charged as a No-Show. In such cases, the full booking amount will be charged as per the cancellation policy.
Can I bring my friend or partner with me?
Solo Attendance only: Please attend your appointment unaccompanied to maintain our professional standards and client comfort.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Will I need a skin allergy test for hair colour treatments?
All new colour clients will have a detailed consultation prior to any chemical services. If an allergy test is needed, we perform patch tests prior to booking any services.
Are children allowed in the salon?
All our appointments at Amaraa are one-on-one only. Please attend to your appointment alone.
Do you have age restrictions at Amaraa?
Amaraa Hair only accepts clients aged 18 and over.
Do you have a mobile phone policy?
To help create a relaxing environment for yourself and others, please have your phone on silent. If you need to make long phone calls, please do so outside.
Do you allow pets?
No pets are allowed in the salon due to health and safety regulations, with the exception of service animals.
What if I am sick?
For the safety and well-being of both clients and staff, if you are feeling unwell, please contact the salon immediately to reschedule your appointment.
Please note that cancellations or rescheduling outside of our cancellation policy will incur applicable fees.
Privacy policy
Amaraa Hair keeps all personal details and information obtained from clients confidential and private.
Behaviour policy
Amaraa Hair does not tolerate any form of aggressive or threatening behaviour or communication (verbal or written).
